"Hope" by GF Watts (1817 - 1904)
Many artists have created works about hope. Watts painted a female figure sitting on a globe. Besides the feeling of gloom, and being blindfolded, "Hope" puts her head close to her to a lyre to listen to music.
These are dark and difficult times. I am working on a hope image. It will include dancing and a river, two symbols I use often in my work.
